Academic Booster Club (ABC)
The ABC committee gathers throughout the year to discuss advanced learning at Crestwood and how experiences for students can be progressed. If you’re interested in learning about these opportunities, attending ABC meetings is a great way to speak with other parents and staff who are invested in the Crestwood community. They also organize enrichment nights during the school year, giving students additional opportunities to explore their interests and talents.
Explore Art Night
Students can submit artwork to be displayed this evening. Local artists are also on hand to provide demonstrations and to talk about art-based opportunities in the community. There is a planning meeting held in the beginning of the year.
Explore Science Night
Students are invited to enter a science project and speak about it at this fun, non-competitive evening. Local scientists will provide various demonstrations and some classrooms participate in their own project. This is another way for students to explore their interests and talents. There is a planning meeting held in late winter for this spring event.
Do you love poetry? So does Crestwood! Come recite an original or favorite poem, create a poetry craft and explore the spring book fair that Poetry night coincides with. There is a planning meeting held early spring for this May event.
Each of these nights requires volunteers to brainstorm ideas, dedicate an hour to setup or takedown, help with demonstrations or offer their own unique presentation at any one of these events.

Outdoor Education (OE)
Crestwood is lucky to have the woods surrounding the school and various vegetable and flower gardens throughout the grounds. We even have an apple orchard! OE volunteers can work with their students’ classrooms, helping with harvesting, planting, weed-pulling and enrichment activities. They can offer time on a regular, weekly or monthly schedule. There is so much happening on the Crestwood grounds and the students love being part of the transformation.
