Explore Art Night
Thursday, November 3, 2016
For this night, the Crestwood gyms are transformed into art galleries filled with artwork from students, staff, and local artists. All Crestwood students are invited to create an art project for display. This is not a competition but an opportunity for students to show what they love about art. All students displaying a project receive an “exhibitor” ribbon. There is also an open mic for performance art (singing, poetry reading, dance, etc.)! Art night also includes hands-on art activities for students and their families to try. Activities from previous years have included making clay tiles for the school mosaic projects, knitting, weaving, painting, drawing, screen printing, calligraphy, paper beads, a cartoonist, and much more!
Like most events at Crestwood, the success of this event depends on volunteers. If you have an artistic talent you are willing to share, if you know of someone who does or to help with planning and event logistics, contact Susan Gaeddert, Rebecca Auerbach, or Crestwood Art Teacher Luke Bassuener.
